Our Sponsorship Program offers an outstanding opportunity for businesses to gain prominent exposure across the Mornington Peninsula at a fraction of the cost compared to our standard advertising rates. We limit this special offer to just six sponsors over a 12-month period to maintain exclusivity.
Sponsors benefit from prime placement on the back page of the Somerville Times and a medium-sized advertisement in the Peninsula Local. Additionally, they receive continual visibility across our digital platforms. This arrangement not only supports our mission of delivering regular, high-quality content but also ensures consistent placement for our sponsors in our publications. We actively engage with our sponsors for referrals, joint projects, and other collaborative ventures, further enhancing their value and our community connection.
We seek partners who actively contribute to the community, support local journalism, and provide engaging content that we can feature throughout the year.

STPL News is home of two peninsula-based publications. The Somerville Times (ST) & Peninsula Local (PL).
We cover community news, local news, state news, and national news that is relevant to communities within the coverage of each publication and across the Mornington Peninsula and Frankston
The Somerville Times and Peninsula Local are published monthly, generally 2 weeks apart. The STPL News publishes stories and delivers electronic news Monday - Friday at 9.00am, with breaking news and public safety alerts as it happens.
Print media is far from dead. It remains a trusted source of information for a significant audience that is often overlooked in today's digital-focused market. With the prevalent belief that print is outdated, it has actually become more effective for advertising as it faces less saturation compared to online platforms, allowing for greater visibility and impact.
The timeframe for seeing results varies by the type of advertising. Digital campaigns can show immediate effects through real-time data, while print ads may take longer to gauge through distribution and customer feedback cycles. We strive to optimize all campaigns for quick impact, and ongoing adjustments can enhance performance over time.
STPL NEWS is available in print through the Somerville Times and Peninsula Local, catering to different audience preferences, digital publishing, social media and our electronic news that is delivered to our subscribers Monday - Friday at 9.00am.
Consider your business type and target audience. Older demographics may prefer print, whereas younger audiences gravitate towards digital platforms.
You can provide your artwork, or we can design it based on your concept free of charge. Complex designs requiring outsourcing may incur costs.
Our packages are designed to meet general needs, but we welcome customizations. To tailor a package, please book a callback.
For digital ads, we track clicks and openings using Google Analytics. E-News ads are tracked through our mailing software and Print ad tracking is through distribution counts and customer feedback on discovery. We recommend that all advertisers begin asking their customers/clients, how they found them.
Choose your ad type, then contact us to proceed with invoicing, terms and conditions, and an onboarding document. If you need help deciding what will be the best package for your needs, please get in touch or organise a advertising follow up call from contact menu.
The minimum advertising term is one month. Advertisers are encouraged to advertise for a minimum of 3 months. Data suggests a 3-months or more campaign yield the best results.
During working hours, Monday - Friday, generally within in 2 - 4 hours. After hours and weekends, it may take up to 24 hours.
