The big day may have come and gone, but keep in touch as we’re always up to something new and exciting.
Candidate Submissions:
We have reached out to all 37 candidates running for council in the 2024 Mornington Peninsula Shire Council Election and have asked them to submit a picture and comment summarising why they should be given your vote. Candidates that did not submit a picture but provided a comment, we have used their candidate picture that is listed on the VEC website. Candidates that did not submit anything, do not have a photo and we have summarised their candidate statement into 50 words using the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This has been published in the Peninsula Local. Voters should do their research before voting.
Interactive Map:
We have put together an interactive map that breaks down the MPSC Wards and the candidates. The Interactive Map also provides you with the locations of the collection points for the Somerville Times & Peninsula Local.
Use our interactive map to find out about the word you reside in and the candidates competing for your vote.
We have broken down all the candidates by ward and with detailed information on each candidate. This is regularly updated.
Help us ask the important question by completing our voters survey. We will then formulate a series of questions to all candidates based on the results.
Information on the candidates running for council, including Q&A and Candidate Statement are available on the VEC website.

I know how to get things done. I have been elected as a Councillor in the City of Melbourne and appointed Chairman of Planning when Melbourne was voted "Most Liveable City in the World" and the Shire of Nillumbik Councillor where I reduced rates and fixed the infrastructure.
I have been a member of McCrae Yacht Club, the Beach Box Association and Regional library boards.

As a candidate for the new Ward of Coolart, I offer a fresh perspective, free from political games. My priority is to represent ratepayers and ensure their voices are heard. Unlike career politicians, I’m not here to climb the political ladder but to make a real difference.
Our roads are in poor condition, despite significant spending. Inefficiencies compromise safety for cyclists, cars, emergency, and agricultural vehicles.
We need practical solutions, not excuses. Planning issues should be resolved through mediation, not heavy fines. Ratepayers deserve clear guidance before formal processes begin. It's time to address the “poor cousin syndrome” on the Westernport side. Sports facilities and infrastructure must receive equal attention. Core services like roads, vegetation management, and waste collection should be prioritized. Illegal dumping can be reduced by offering affordable hard rubbish disposal.
As an independent councillor, I will hold the council accountable, push for greater transparency, and make decisions reflecting our community’s needs. My experience as a business owner, hobby farmer, and local soccer coach keeps me grounded in the community. I’m here to serve you, not a political party.
Let’s work together for a better Mornington Peninsula.

As a Rye resident and business owner with a background as a journalist and corporate communications specialist, I’ve worked in challenging environments where accountability, transparency, and results matter.
I’m asking for your vote for the Nepean Ward as our Council needs a reset—greater cohesion, efficiency, and respect for your ratepayer dollars. Waste and infighting must stop. We need to start with getting the basics right: rates, roads and rubbish.
I will ensure your ratepayer dollars are equitably invested in Nepean. We need better infrastructure and services, alongside respectful and sustainable development that meets current and future needs. I will advocate strongly for the improvements our community deserves in health services, sports venues, tourism initiatives, opportunities for our youth, and reducing crime just to list a few.
I’m here to keep it real, focus on what matters, and bring positive change for Nepean Ward.
